the serious stuff
These are the terms and conditions for all commissions.
They are here to protect my work and give transparency to my process.
general
- I may reject any commission request for any reason I see fit.
- Prices are subject to change!
payment
- Payment is accepted in USD.
- Payment is accepted 100% upfront, and only in special cases 50% upfront 50% when finished.
- Payment should not be sent until a slot is confirmed.
process
- Commission timeframes will typically range from 1 week to 1 month depending on its complexity, my general availability, and my own motivation.
- Finished commissions include a ZIP file containing all of the files for the requested website layout.
revisions and adjustments
- Revisions and general adjustments are included and to be expected. It is the nature of websites and similar projects to experiment to find what works best, and thus we will likely sift through many ideas over the course of a commission.
- Any and all reasonable changes will not incur any additional charges. The reasonability of a change is judged by if it were to make a noticeable impact increasing the commission timeframe.
- In the vast majority of cases, this will not be a concern.
copyright and usage rights
I, the developer:
- Reserve the right to cancel or refund a commission at any time for any reason.
- Retain all copyrights over the work I have made, including commissions.
- Will not claim the intellectual property included within the commission.
- Will not profit further off created commissions unless these terms are to be broken.
- Reserve the right to post about these commissions online, use them in my portfolio, and share their source code privately if needed as evidence of my work, but not for direct profit.
You, the customer/client:
- May share about the resulting hosted commission as you see fit.
- May not resell the commissioned work in any form.
- May use the commissioned work for indirect profit ex. as an artist hosting commissions.
- May not share the source code of your commission other than as needed to host it without my permission.
- May alter the commissioned work for things like editing its text/media content, adding/removing pages, and fixing bugs.
- May not remove or alter the credits I place on the commissioned work without my permission!
- May not process any of the commissioned work through any AI tools or programs.
- Must have my permission before making changes to its layouts.
