Hi!
My name is EpicYoshiMaster, or Mallory (she/her)! I'm a Trans Software Engineer, Speedrunner, and Modder who loves making ridiculous, absurd, and fun projects that no one else can think of!
My focus is in developing speedrunning-centric tools which improve the accessibility and efficiency of running games, and sheading light to some of the deep and technical aspects of how games work. I also build websites, have developed broadcast layouts with nodecg, make mods, small software apps, video games, basically anything and everything!
My work includes a 2-month exploration into reverse engineering and rebuilding the dungeon algorithm from Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky in Typescript (try it here), broadcast layouts for my local Chicago Splatoon organization SquidWest (code here), a silly website where you attempt to enter every single title in Splatoon 3 (try it here), and plenty more (check the projects tab for more information).
My primary speedgames of choice include Splatoon, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, CrossCode, and A Hat in Time! Currently I'm in the middle of my Splatoon era (you probably could have guessed that), the mechanics of inking, swimming, and turfing make for such an interesting speedgame that I've really fallen in love with.
